We went to See Santa

Karen had today off work so we went to the mall to see Santa. The resulting photo is posted, and you may note I am in it also, because Robbie is scared of the big red man this year. We sat him on his knee and he cried, he wouldn't even let me sit next to him. The best we could do was stand beside him, while Robbie glared at him in disapproval. Better luck next year Santa.

When my cousin was small he started talking about Santa as a monster. He used to say in a growly voice with his fingers up and curled like claws. "I AM SANTA CLAUSE! HA HA HA" and growl and act like a dinosaur when he did it. We finally figured out that when we said Santa Clause, he heard Santa Claws and thought that Santa was some sort of dragon/dinosaur/monster thing.

So funny!

But you know, Santa is kinda scary. A stalker-like creature that knows everything about you and can get into your house secretly at night...

I do not recall ever being scared of him, but one of our foster kids one year was SO terrified. We were at Lowry Park, and they had 'Santa' and all that jazz, she was about 18 months old and shrieked when she saw him, then all night kept saying 'no, no, no, no, go 'way 'way, puks (punch) him'
Needless to say, there is no photo of the encounter.
Robbie sure was cute though!
